My Story

About Me

Healthcare professional, Operating Department Practitioner, and web developer based in London.

Who I Am

Hi, I'm Chinedum, a healthcare professional turned web developer. I combine experience from the operating theatre with modern web development skills to create precise and impactful digital solutions.

I've worked as an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) across multiple surgical specialties, including anaesthetic, scrub, and recovery roles, while also coordinating surgical teams.

I'm currently pursuing a Master's in Web Development, working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, databases, and Python to build functional, accessible, and user-friendly websites.

Why Healthcare and Web Development Connect

My background in healthcare strongly influences how I approach web development. Working in the operating theatre taught me the importance of precision, teamwork, and staying calm under pressure — skills I now apply when building thoughtful, reliable, and user-friendly digital experiences.

My Philosophy

At the heart of what I do is a desire to help people. Whether I'm supporting patients in a clinical setting or creating digital tools that make life easier for users, I'm motivated by the same goal: making a positive difference through care, technology, and meaningful design.

The Power of Little Things

In my work as a theatre practitioner, I have learned that care is often shown through small actions — holding a patient's hand as they fall asleep, listening to their fears and hopes, or quietly cleaning up after an operation. These moments may seem minor, but they can mean a great deal.

I have found the same lesson in programming, where a tiny comma or a missing semicolon can make all the difference. Like my work in healthcare, coding requires attention, patience, and resilience. I do not always get it right, but I am committed to learning and improving for the long haul.
